Monday.com is seeking a Deployment Architect to join its Professional Services team. You will be the technical depth behind complex AI deployments for enterprise customers, guiding them from AI ambition to production architecture. This role bridges sales, delivery, and product, combining technical leadership with customer-facing expertise.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead technical discovery for new opportunities, surfacing AI, integration, and data requirements before scope and pricing are committed.
- Design advanced AI architecture on the monday.com platform, spanning agents, context, and data layers for enterprise workflows.
- Architect technical scope beyond native platform capabilities, including integrations, data migrations, custom applications, and their interfaces.
- Estimate effort and consumption impact of technical work to ensure accurate resource allocation.
- Partner with Account Owners and Deployment Strategists to sell forward-deployed engineering services, establishing credibility with enterprise architects and executives.
- Produce solution design documents, architecture diagrams, and workflow artifacts for the delivery team.
- Carry designs into delivery on complex engagements, briefing consultants and engineers and providing technical oversight.
- Own technical delivery standards covering architecture, security, governance, scalability, and reference patterns.
- Build estimation models, discovery questionnaires, and skill libraries to enable consistent scoping without architect involvement.
- Serve as technical authority for the delivery team, mentoring staff and advocating with Product for platform enhancements.
This is a hybrid role requiring three days per week in the New York office.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 7 years as a solutions architect or forward-deployed engineer in enterprise software, with recent experience designing AI solutions for external customers.
- Demonstrated depth in AI architecture: agentic systems, LLM-based workflows, tool use, context and retrieval design, with judgment on when AI outperforms deterministic approaches.
- Experience defining AI quality measurement and maintenance in production: evaluation, guardrails, human review, observability.
- Enterprise data architecture experience across complex technology landscapes, including ETL, migrations, conversions, and assessing data readiness for AI.
- Fluency across integration approaches: API and event-driven integration, iPaaS, low-code platforms, custom middleware; command of REST, GraphQL, webhooks, SCIM, SAML 2.0/OAuth 2.0, MCP.
- Working proficiency in Python or TypeScript and regular use of AI-assisted editors (Cursor, Claude Code) to prototype designs and evaluate engineering approaches.
- Working knowledge of enterprise security, compliance, and governance requirements, including AI data handling and design review.
- Experience estimating delivery effort and creating statements of work for AI builds, data migrations, integrations, and custom application development; ability to build estimation models for team consistency.
- Commercial acumen to run technical discovery with customers and support sales of technical services.
- Strong customer-facing and presentation skills with excellent written and verbal communication; ability to establish credibility with technical stakeholders and executives and translate technical topics for non-technical audiences.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and documentation skills; ability to manage simultaneous engagements at different stages with adaptability and initiative.
- BA or BS degree preferred.
