As a Data Scientist Team Manager, you will lead a multidisciplinary team of data engineers, data scientists, and data analysts. Your responsibilities include:
- Managing and developing a team of data professionals
- Leading the development of advanced solutions for complex technical challenges in big data and machine learning
- Collaborating with data extraction, platform, and product teams
- Communicating with business stakeholders and gathering customer feedback
- Hiring new team members and shaping the team's structure
- Playing a crucial role in shaping product strategy within a startup-like environment
Your team will focus on developing statistical and machine learning algorithms on large-scale data, owning end-to-end data processes and pipelines from research through production, collaborating with product and R&D teams to deliver digital insights, and designing and monitoring processes to ensure quality and reliability.
You'll work on challenging algorithmic problems with real customer impact, alongside top engineers and scientists in the industry. The R&D team tackles complex problems without a playbook, requiring creative problem-solving and technical depth.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Master's degree (M.Sc.) or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of experience developing machine learning and statistical algorithms in a production environment
- 1+ years of people management experience (required)
- Strong experience with Big Data and ML production pipelines (strong advantage)
- Familiarity with web, internet, app, or online industry (advantage)
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Passionate about data and problem-solving
