Emerging Travel Group, a global travel-tech company operating in over 220 source markets since 2010, is seeking a Data Platform SRE/Observability Engineer to build and maintain a unified observability framework across their infrastructure. You will own end-to-end monitoring for all infrastructure stacks, including Trino, Kubernetes, databases, and Big Data systems (Apache Ozone and Hadoop). Your responsibilities include: • Develop and implement a comprehensive observability framework covering all infrastructure components • Implement automatic collection of DORA metrics and create high-level health dashboards to visualize service uptime and system health • Audit current monitoring gaps and address blind spots in Kubernetes, databases, and distributed storage systems • Optimize and update Alertmanager rules to proactively intercept incidents and anomalies before they impact users • Serve as the subject matter expert in monitoring and observability, supporting team leads and reducing routine dashboard/alerting overhead • Translate abstract system behaviors and logs into clear, structured, and actionable metrics The company offers a fully flexible work schedule with no fixed start times, choice of work format (fully remote, office, or hybrid), internal training programs tailored to individual development, partial compensation for external training and conferences, language learning support, corporate travel discounts, and an extra "MyTime Day Off" for personal priorities. REQUIREMENTS: • Minimum 3 years of DevOps/SRE experience and 5+ years in IT • Deep expertise in the Prometheus stack: Prometheus, Grafana, and Alertmanager, including complex PromQL query writing and alert fatigue mitigation • Proven SRE/Observability focus with emphasis on infrastructure reliability rather than product feature development • Practical understanding of SLI/SLO/SLA concepts, error budgets, and DORA metrics methodology • Experience with containerization (Kubernetes) and databases • Ability to quickly grasp metrics of distributed systems (Hadoop, Trino) • Systematic approach to incident analysis and metric translation • Python, Go, or JavaScript knowledge is a plus
