Pivot Robotics is seeking a Data Infrastructure Engineer to design and own the data systems powering their production robotics platform. You will take end-to-end ownership of data schemas, models, and infrastructure that support robotic operations at scale. Key responsibilities include: - Design and own schemas and data models for production systems - Build and maintain data infrastructure on AWS, including artifact stores for scans, meshes, model checkpoints, and calibration files - Architect edge-to-cloud data pipelines connecting robotic cells to cloud infrastructure - Build ML infrastructure including training pipelines, dataset versioning, and model deployment systems - Work across the full stack from raw data analysis to system design This role bridges robotics hardware, cloud infrastructure, and machine learning. You'll work on the critical data layer that enables autonomous systems to learn and improve. The position requires willingness to travel to customer sites for deployment and troubleshooting. Requirements: - 2+ years of hands-on experience building data infrastructure on AWS (application-side, not platform operations) - Strong expertise in schema design and data modeling, with understanding of distributed systems tradeoffs - Demonstrated ML infrastructure experience - Ability to work across the full stack, from data analysis to systems design - Willingness to travel to customer sites Preferred qualifications: - Prior experience with data infrastructure in robotics, autonomy, or industrial IoT contexts - Edge computing experience - Interest in or background with manufacturing
