Namespace Labs is a developer infrastructure platform that accelerates software delivery by dramatically speeding up CI/CD pipelines, builds, and tests. The company works with hundreds of organizations globally to help engineering teams ship features instead of waiting for infrastructure.
As a Customer-Facing Software Engineer, you will work directly with customer engineering teams to solve complex infrastructure and developer workflow challenges. You'll serve as a technical partner and trusted advisor, embedding within diverse engineering organizations to understand their build and ship processes, then help them improve, scale, and modernize those workflows.
You'll navigate complex systems spanning CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, developer tooling, build systems, and application environments. Your responsibilities include:
- Working directly with customers to understand their workflows, infrastructure setups, and technical challenges
- Quickly developing expertise in new technical environments and independently driving issues and improvement opportunities from investigation through resolution
- Reverse-engineering customer systems and resolving issues across the full infrastructure stack
- Acting as an extension of customer engineering teams, helping solve complex technical challenges
- Building product improvements, tooling, integrations, and fixes that unblock customer teams and improve developer productivity
- Identifying recurring patterns across customer engagements and collaborating with product and engineering teams to translate them into platform improvements
- Driving adoption through deep technical partnership, helping customers expand Namespace across additional workflows and use cases
- Developing deep expertise in modern developer workflows, infrastructure systems, and software delivery practices
This is a highly technical, highly autonomous role. You'll work with a global customer base across the US, EU, Asia, and Australia, primarily asynchronously via Slack and email, with on-site visits being rare.
Namespace Labs values grit, curiosity, and execution bias. The company is a small team of experts balancing long-term vision with short-term pragmatism, with full internal transparency on decision-making and company performance.
Requirements:
- Strong engineering fundamentals and ability to navigate unfamiliar systems quickly
- Comfort debugging across modern infrastructure, developer tooling, and application environments
- High curiosity and systematic approach to problem-solving
- Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with technical teams and users
- Bias toward execution and comfort operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
- Customer-oriented mindset with strong sense of ownership and urgency
