inDrive is seeking a Country Government Relations Manager for Mexico to lead the company's regulatory and public affairs strategy. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for representing inDrive's interests with national and state authorities, policymakers, and key opinion leaders across Mexico. Key Responsibilities: - Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with government officials, policymakers, regulatory bodies, and industry leaders in Mexico - Oversee platform licensing at the state level, ensuring compliance across inDrive's business verticals (ride-hailing, couriers, intercity, cargo, and others) - Develop and implement a comprehensive national government relations strategy with clear objectives, OKRs, and detailed roadmaps - Foster partnerships with policy stakeholders, including businesses, trade associations, and civil society organizations - Lead inDrive's engagement with NGOs, industry unions, and associations - Identify and assess regulatory risks and opportunities, developing mitigation strategies - Manage regulatory and political crises with rapid response and impact mitigation - Strengthen inDrive's brand visibility among policymakers, governments, and thought leaders - Advocate for regulatory environments that support technology platform growth - Formulate and manage the country-level government relations budget - Provide strategic guidance to internal stakeholders on policy, legislative, and reputational matters - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Growth, Legal, Communications, Finance, Product) to ensure compliance and address regulatory challenges Requirements: - 6+ years of experience in government relations, public policy, or related field - At least 3 years of experience in a tier-one multinational organization (in-house or consulting) — highly desirable - Degree in Law, Economics, Political Science, International Affairs, or related field - Proven track record designing and executing public policy strategies and managing complex advocacy initiatives at national and regional levels - Fluent in Spanish and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfort engaging in challenging or controversial policy debates - Demonstrated success building and maintaining strong relationships with a leadership role in policy implementation and public affairs - Deep understanding of legislative, regulatory, and political processes, particularly in highly regulated industries - Essential: experience shaping regulatory frameworks and addressing complex legal and political issues - Prior experience in ride-hailing or technology sectors is a plus - Strong research and analytical skills; ability to synthesize complex policy issues and communicate clearly - Proven ability to translate intricate regulatory matters into accessible language for diverse audiences - Strategic alignment skills; ability to connect company strengths to government opportunities - Strong ownership and accountability - Ability to collaborate effectively across functions at all levels - Self-motivated, adaptable, and calm under pressure - Action-oriented mindset with focus on delivering results - Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
