Babylist, a leading platform for expecting and new families with $750M in revenue, is seeking a Corporate Finance Manager to join its growing Finance team. You will report to the Director of Corporate Finance and partner with senior leadership on consolidations, opex, balance sheet and cash flow forecasting, internal business reviews, external board reporting, and ad hoc analyses. In this role, you will own the execution of monthly, quarterly, and annual FP&A processes end-to-end, including the forecast calendar, key milestones, and long-term financial modeling. You will develop deep understanding of the Babylist business model and key financial levers, delivering insights that connect numbers to underlying business drivers. You will contribute to executive and board presentation materials, prepare consolidated financial statements, and analyze actual-to-expected performance with rigorous variance commentary. You will own and improve the total company opex budgeting process at the GL and department level, building inspection mechanisms that hold budget owners accountable. You will develop and maintain financial models, reports, and analyses to support key business decisions and strategic initiatives. A key part of this role is identifying and implementing AI-enabled automation across FP&A workflows—actively experimenting with AI tools to reduce manual effort on reporting, modeling, variance analysis, and deck production, then sharing learnings across the Finance team. You will operate with meaningful autonomy: framing problems yourself, building mechanisms that keep budgets and forecasts honest, and bringing recommendations rather than questions. The role requires exceptional accuracy and quality control, with strong written and oral communication skills to distill complex analyses into clear insights for executive and board audiences. Babylist is remote-first with team members across the U.S. and Canada. The company moves fast, thinks smart, and uses AI as part of how they work every day. Team members come together twice a year to build relationships. REQUIREMENTS: - 5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, finance business partnering, strategic finance, investment banking, private equity, consulting, accounting, or related analytical role, with Manager-level ownership or equivalent scope - Strong understanding of financial statements and how they connect, including balance sheet and cash flow mechanics - Owned a recurring deliverable for a senior audience end-to-end across multiple cycles (exec or board package, monthly reporting pack, client or deal model) - Built or materially rebuilt a process or model from the ground up rather than only operated one - Advanced analytical and modeling skills, including building models from scratch and working with large, detailed datasets - Advanced Excel or Google Sheets and strong slide-building skills - Fluency in financial statements and their interconnections - Demonstrated independent ownership and problem-solving ability; able to take ambiguous problems, frame them, set priorities, and drive work forward without templates or clear precedent - Exceptional accuracy and quality control; owns pride in work, builds checks into models and decks, self-reviews before sending work up - Proactive communication; surfaces risks early, keeps stakeholders informed without prompting, manages own timelines, delivers on commitments - Concrete, specific examples of using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar) to automate reporting, accelerate analysis, improve modeling, or scale deliverables - Comfortable taking on work not done before and learning new tools, systems, and business areas quickly; scrappy, curious, and a tinkerer by nature - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or another quantitative field - Genuinely excited about what AI can do, not just as a concept but as something you want to get your hands on NICE TO HAVE: - Planning systems experience (Netsuite Planning and Budgeting, Oracle Hyperion, Anaplan, Adaptive) - SQL or BI tools - Experience improving or automating reporting and planning processes - Familiarity with e-commerce, marketplace, or retail business models - Experience at both public and high-growth private companies - MBA or CPA
