SpryPoint is a high-growth, cloud-native software company modernizing customer service and operations for utilities across North America and the Caribbean. Founded in 2011 and backed by Norwest Venture Partners and Insight Partners, the company serves 100+ utility clients with solutions spanning the meter-to-cash process.
The Contracts Coordinator will support SpryPoint's Legal/Operations function, reporting to the Director of Contracts. This is a hybrid-remote role (remote-first with optional hub offices in Charlottetown and Atlanta) focused on contract administration, document production, and process coordination.
**Key Responsibilities:**
Contract Administration: Maintain and organize signed client contracts in Google Drive with consistent naming and filing conventions. Track contract status across negotiations, amendments, and renewals; flag upcoming deadlines to the Director. Manage the DocuSign execution queue—prepare envelopes, confirm signer details, route for signature, and file executed documents. Maintain reseller and cooperative purchasing agreement registers (Veolia, IronBrick/OMNIA, NCPA, etc.). Audit and reconcile contract records against the client portfolio periodically.
Document Production: Populate contract templates (MSAs, amendments, order forms, NDAs) with client-specific information under Director direction. Assemble and format exhibits, schedules, and order form tables with accurate pricing. Produce clean Word documents with proper formatting, tracked changes, and consistent styling. Prepare first-draft correspondence (transmittal letters, execution instructions, routine communications). Convert and reformat documents received from counterparties.
Process Coordination: Triage inbound contract requests from the sales team; gather context and route to the Director with clear summaries. Track open items and follow up with internal stakeholders (Account Executives, Finance, Advisory Services) to gather inputs for redline responses. Coordinate with external counterparties on administrative execution matters. Maintain version control discipline across negotiations.
Research & Reference Support: Conduct background research on counterparties, industry norms, and procurement requirements (company profiles, public filings, cooperative purchasing terms, state regulations). Maintain internal reference materials (AE Contracting Guide, MSA quick reference, policy summaries). Support RFP response coordination—track inbound RFPs, organize document packages, assist with exhibit preparation.
**Requirements:**
Required: 3+ years of experience in contracts administration, legal operations, paralegal, or closely related role. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Word (formatting, tracked changes, template management). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail—this role involves legally binding documents where execution errors have real consequences. Clear, professional written communication. Ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent tasks without close supervision. Experience with Google Drive or similar cloud document management platforms.
Preferred: Experience in SaaS, technology, or professional services. Familiarity with contract lifecycle management concepts (negotiation workflows, execution mechanics, amendment processes). Experience with DocuSign or similar e-signature platforms. Exposure to government or municipal procurement (RFPs, cooperative purchasing, public contract requirements). Experience with Slack, Confluence, Jira, or similar collaboration tools.
