Fluidstack is building civilization-scale compute infrastructure for AI, acquiring power, designing and operating data centers at massive scale. The People team is responsible for keeping the company staffed and compliant as it scales rapidly across multiple sites and functions, including both direct employees and the contractor/vendor workforce that extends operations daily.
In this role, you will own the end-to-end management of Fluidstack's contingent and extended workforce program. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing contractor intake, onboarding, and offboarding; maintaining relationships with staffing suppliers and vendors; building and enforcing compliant processes for worker classification, access, and data protection; and advising hiring managers on the right workforce solutions for their needs (balancing cost, speed, compliance, and risk).
You will also improve the systems and workflows behind the program—including vendor management tooling, reporting, and documentation—and partner closely with Legal, Finance, and IT to resolve escalations and keep controls current as the program scales.
Fluidstack operates with full autonomy, insane urgency, first-principles reasoning, and a focus on building something that matters. The company is singularly focused on deploying frontier compute infrastructure faster than anyone else, rethinking every layer of the stack.
Key problems the People team is solving: standing up consistent, compliant contractor onboarding and management across every team and location; choosing and rolling out systems to track contractor spend, tenure, and access; giving hiring managers a clear, fast path to the right workforce solution; and keeping classification and compliance practices current as the program grows.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4+ years of experience in contingent workforce, extended workforce, procurement operations, or HR operations
- Hands-on experience with a Vendor Management System (VMS) or similar contractor-management tooling
- Working knowledge of worker classification, co-employment, and compliance considerations behind contractor programs
- Experience partnering across Legal, Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to resolve workforce issues
- Strong operator who solves problems directly and builds solutions rather than waiting on vendors
- Comfortable operating with ambiguity and moving with urgency in a fast-changing business
- Bonus: Experience scaling a contractor program at a high-growth or infrastructure company; interest in using automation to reduce manual program work
