Pasqal designs and develops quantum processors (QPUs) and associated software tools. The QPUs offer exceptional computational power with high energy efficiency, contributing to reducing the carbon footprint of intensive computing.
In the context of strong growth, Pasqal is recruiting a General Accountant to strengthen its team. You will play a key role in ensuring reliability and structuring the financial challenges of a pre-IPO scale-up with international scope.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage general accounting for the French entity under French GAAP (PCG), with focus on complex cycles (revenue, inventory & production, payroll, etc.)
- Secure monthly, quarterly, and annual closings: inventory entries, reconciliations, account justifications, variance analysis
- Contribute to production of financial statements and closing packages (commentaries, analyses, key points)
- Produce solid documentation of accounting schemas, technical positions, and audit files
- Interact with external auditors: prepare PBC lists, respond to requests, track audit points
- Contribute to internal control framework / SOX compliance: execute controls, collect evidence, update procedures/narratives, participate in remediation
- Drive continuous process improvement (standardization, automation, reliability) and potential expansion to other group entities

REQUIREMENTS:
- BTS, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent
- 5–7 years of general accounting experience, ideally in demanding contexts (regulated environment, listed company, startup/scale-up)
- Deep knowledge of all accounting cycles (closing, cut-off, reconciliations, justifications, documentation)
- ERP knowledge and practice (NetSuite, SAP, Sage, or similar)
- Professional English required (international environment)
- Rigor, attention to detail, reliability, and respect for deadlines
- Ability to prioritize during intense closing periods
- Team spirit, adaptability, and ability to quickly assimilate new technical subjects
- Pedagogical approach and internal service orientation
