As a Compliance Testing Specialist, you will strengthen OnePay's Compliance Testing Program by translating regulatory requirements and control objectives into clear, risk-based testing strategies. You will independently assess control effectiveness, identify consumer-risk themes, and deliver evidence-based conclusions that enable the business to move quickly and responsibly. Key responsibilities include: - Plan and execute risk-based compliance testing across OnePay products, customer journeys, operational processes, marketing communications, servicing, complaints, and third-party activities - Develop clear testing objectives, procedures, and evidence requirements that are reproducible and aligned to applicable regulatory requirements - Assess design and operating effectiveness of preventive and detective controls; identify root causes and practical opportunities to strengthen or automate controls - Perform data-driven analysis by coordinating with stakeholders, validating source data, and evaluating population completeness and accuracy - Evaluate compliance with federal and state consumer-financial requirements including UDAAP, ECOA/Regulation B, EFTA/Regulation E, TILA/Regulation Z, FCRA/Regulation V, GLBA/Regulation P, FDCPA, Regulation DD, FINRA, SEC requirements, and relevant state laws - Draft high-quality workpapers, findings, and management reports that clearly describe requirements, conditions, risks, customer impact, root causes, and recommended corrective actions - Track remediation commitments and validate corrective-action closure - Contribute to annual Compliance Testing Plan and Compliance Risk Assessment by identifying regulatory changes, product changes, and complaint trends - Maintain current knowledge of regulatory developments and enforcement trends - Use AI tools thoughtfully to improve testing speed and quality while maintaining appropriate human review and governance controls - Build lightweight, scalable testing methods, documentation standards, and automation You will report to the Compliance Testing Lead and partner closely with Compliance Controls, Product, Operations, Risk, Legal, Data, Engineering, and Marketing teams. This role suits high-ownership operators comfortable with ambiguity, building practical solutions, and raising the bar as the company scales. REQUIREMENTS: - Professional fluency in written and spoken English - 5–10 years of experience in compliance testing, compliance monitoring, audit, or consulting within consumer financial services, fintech, banking, or similarly regulated environment - Demonstrated experience executing regulatory or control reviews and translating regulatory requirements into practical, risk-based test procedures - Working knowledge of U.S. consumer-financial-services regulations and ability to research and apply federal and state requirements to products, processes, and customer communications - Strong analytical skills, including experience assessing data quality, defining test populations, investigating exceptions, and drawing balanced, evidence-based conclusions - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to prepare concise, high-impact reports for senior management and collaborate across functions - Exceptional organization, attention to detail, sound judgment, and ability to manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines - Hands-on fluency with AI tooling and genuine interest in using it responsibly to improve testing velocity and analysis quality without compromising confidentiality or accuracy - Act-like-an-owner mentality, intellectual curiosity, and bias toward action; comfort with ambiguity and low ego - CRCM, CIA, CISA, CAMS, or comparable certification—or active progress toward one—is a plus
