Figma is seeking a Compliance Engineer to design, implement, and test security controls across multiple compliance frameworks including FedRAMP, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIST. This role bridges security compliance expertise with technical problem-solving to build scalable, repeatable compliance practices.
You will develop and verify technical security controls that satisfy multiple compliance frameworks, collaborating closely with security, infrastructure, and product engineering teams to translate regulatory requirements into effective technical controls. Key responsibilities include designing and executing control testing procedures to assess performance and verify remediation, establishing repeatable control assessments and continuous monitoring processes, and translating security requirements into structured, machine-readable JSON definitions to support control management and automation.
You will build and maintain API integrations and automated workflows to streamline evidence collection, control validation, and compliance processes. Additionally, you will identify opportunities to improve control effectiveness, reduce manual effort, and scale compliance operations across multiple frameworks. This role combines hands-on technical work with strategic compliance engineering to advance Figma's security posture.
The position is full-time and can be held from one of Figma's US hubs (San Francisco or New York) or remotely within the United States.
