Salary: USD 148,400 - 222,600 / annual

Rubrik, a Security and AI Operations Company, is seeking a Compensation Consultant to serve as a strategic compensation partner within the People & HR function. This role reports to the Director of Global Compensation and is based in Palo Alto, CA. You will own compensation strategy and execution across assigned business units, acting as the primary advisor on offer design, job leveling, retention strategies, and compensation policy updates. Key responsibilities include leading end-to-end executive compensation processes—benchmarking, scoping, total rewards recommendations, and the annual VP compensation review cycle, including modeling, presentations, and CEO approval workflows. You will conduct routine compensation health audits, analyze ESPP and equity programs, perform cross-functional analyses, and lead quarterly organizational scorecard processes. You'll develop and drive the compensation education roadmap, creating training materials and intranet resources in partnership with Talent Acquisition, HRBPs, and the broader Compensation team. You'll also support annual compensation planning and lead the company-wide mid-year promotion process. Cross-functional collaboration is central to the role. You'll partner with Talent Acquisition to design market-competitive offer strategies, consult directly with HRBPs and business leaders using data-driven models, and work closely with FP&A, Stock Administration, Tax, Legal, Audit, Immigration, and Communications teams. Rubrik's Security Cloud delivers cyber resilience across clouds, and the company is expanding into AI agent acceleration and monitoring. You'll be part of a mission-driven organization focused on securing the world's data and accelerating trusted AI transformation. REQUIREMENTS: - 7+ years in broad-based compensation (market analysis, VP/executive compensation, equity, and consulting), with at least 3 years in high-tech supporting technical functions - BA/BS degree in Business, HR, or related field (or equivalent experience) - Advanced proficiency in data modeling and presentation tools (Excel, Google Sheets, PowerPoint, Google Slides) with strong AI/Automation skills; extensive Google Workspace experience preferred - Exceptional analytical ability, high attention to detail, and strong communication skills to drive decisions in a fast-paced environment
