Salary: USD 170,000 - 220,000 / annual
Anthropic is seeking a Commercial Legal Specialist to lead the technical implementation of AI-powered solutions within the legal operations function. This role bridges legal expertise and AI technology, focusing on scaling and improving efficiency across the legal team's workflows.
You will be responsible for implementing AI-powered solutions to streamline contract review and redlining processes, managing integrations between existing legal systems and AI tools like Claude, and developing automated self-service solutions for high-volume contracting processes including FAQ chatbots and guided workflows. Additional responsibilities include creating AI-based tools for commercial contract diligence, optimizing contract management platforms with AI capabilities, and establishing governance processes for AI use in legal operations.
You will create and manage comprehensive program plans with timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, build and maintain metrics dashboards to track efficiency improvements, and coordinate with Engineering and Product teams on solution development. The role requires identifying and mitigating risks that could affect program success and maintaining proactive problem-solving throughout project execution.

REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum qualifications:
- Experience evaluating and implementing legal technology platforms (contract management systems, workflow management systems, document management tools)
- Genuine curiosity about AI/ML applications and hands-on experience with LLM tools, especially Claude
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to translate legal business needs into scalable technical solutions
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to communicate effectively with both technical and legal stakeholders
- Self-directed with ability to manage multiple technical projects simultaneously
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
- Field of study relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Preferred qualifications:
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in legal operations, legal technology, or technical roles supporting legal teams
- Technical aptitude with system integration knowledge
- Familiarity with common LLM frameworks and tools or background in machine learning or data science
- Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Proven project management skills including ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, manage multiple projects, and deliver quality results
- Collaborative team player mindset with genuine interest in technology development and AI, thriving in fast-paced environments
