Klarna is building an everyday finance network serving over 120 million consumers across 26 countries. The Cloud Inventory team, part of the Securing Klarna group, is responsible for maintaining a source-of-truth asset inventory that tracks every cloud asset at Klarna, including ownership, relationships to other assets, and security and compliance status. In this role, you will lead engineering efforts on the Asset Inventory platform and extend Klarna's Cloud Security Posture Management capabilities. You'll design, build, and run full-stack services that collect and serve cloud asset data, including ownership, dependencies, and risk assessment. A core responsibility is translating security and compliance requirements into product features that engineering teams can use intuitively without needing to understand the underlying rules. You will build prioritization and remediation workflows, measure their impact on Klarna's security posture, and develop deep working expertise in security and compliance rules. You'll guide how these rules are implemented across systems and teams, working collaboratively with engineering, security, compliance, and platform teams to align on priorities and delivery. You'll also communicate technical risks, priorities, and progress to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The role is based in Klarna's Milan office with a hybrid arrangement; most teams currently meet in person 2–3 days per week, though this varies by team and may change over time. REQUIREMENTS: - Proven track record building and owning production software; ability to describe systems delivered and run - Strong AWS knowledge, including ability to review microservice architectures for security vulnerabilities - Experience with cloud infrastructure, asset inventories, or resource dependency mapping - Security-first mindset: ability to measure risk, rank it, and explain it clearly - Experience building scalable full-stack web applications - Experience delivering work with cross-functional stakeholders (engineering, security, compliance) - Proficiency with TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, React, PostgreSQL, and Terraform, or ability to learn quickly - Bonus: experience with commercial cybersecurity and asset management platforms; experience running security and compliance audits and producing reports
