Salary: USD 135,000 - 150,000 / annual
Mendix (a Siemens company) is seeking a Cloud Architect to drive digital innovation by advising customers on cloud and hybrid hosting solutions. You will help customers adopt Mendix platform deployments across Kubernetes environments (AWS EKS, Azure AKS, Rancher, OpenShift) at hyperscalers and on-premises infrastructure. Your responsibilities include:
- Advising customers on cloud and hybrid hosting solutions based on cost, performance, and security requirements
- Assisting with installation, configuration, operations, and troubleshooting of Mendix platform deployments in containerized and cloud environments
- Supporting customers with CI/CD pipeline integration and optimization for Mendix deployments
- Defining and explaining cloud architecture principles while implementing and troubleshooting highly automated hosting infrastructure
- Experimenting with innovative approaches to automating cloud infrastructure, deployments, and AI-driven infrastructure
- Getting trained on Mendix Cloud Architecture principles and deployment possibilities

REQUIREMENTS:
- 4+ years of professional experience in cloud infrastructure and microservices architectures; ideally 2+ years with modern cloud platforms
- Deep understanding and practical experience with containerized environments and microservices architectures
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Experience architecting, building, and operating highly automated, containerized cloud infrastructure
- Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and maintaining Kubernetes-based architectures on public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP) and private cloud platforms (Rancher, OpenShift)
- Database administration skills (Postgres, SQLServer, Oracle) and cloud-database/data lake experience
- Authentication (AWS IAM/Azure Entra) and enterprise-grade network skills (Ingress, reverse proxies)
- Implementation and integration experience with CI/CD tooling (Git/SVN, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
- Ability to travel to client sites routinely
- Self-starting, professional mentality with ability to engage with customers and understand how platform infrastructure creates business value
BONUS EXPERIENCE:
- Cloud architecture and infrastructure certifications
- AWS, GCP, or Azure professional certifications
- BA/BS or Master's in Computer Science or technical equivalent
- Experience with low-code platforms (Pega, Outsystems, ServiceNow), AI platforms (n8n), Graph Databases, or vectorization techniques
- Governmental security clearances
