You will join the Risk function as a Business Risk Manager focused on Operational Resilience, sitting within the 1st line of defence (1LoD). Based in France (with potential flexibility across Ireland, Spain, and Portugal), you'll build and scale a best-in-class financial control environment. Unlike advisory roles, you will directly oversee and improve controls across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying, assessing, documenting, and reviewing risks across business functions and products
- Designing, implementing, and testing controls to ensure safe operations
- Developing and testing key procedures and risk indicators
- Registering risk events, managing incidents, and delivering risk reports
- Promoting positive risk behaviours and fostering a robust risk culture across the organization
You'll work cross-functionally with finance, tech, and customer support teams from day one on new initiatives. This is a hands-on role where you'll translate complex regulatory and operational requirements into practical frameworks.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2:1 degree from a top university
- 4+ years of experience in operational risk management within financial services
- Knowledge of internal control frameworks and banking regulations
- Demonstrated experience with risk identification, monitoring, and controls
- Familiarity with control implementation and testing methodologies
- Proven ability to interpret and organize complex data
- Track record of achievement (academic, professional, or competitive awards)
- Ability to quickly assume responsibilities and work independently
- Organized, methodological approach to work
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
