EatClub is a food-tech marketplace platform that connects restaurants and bars with customers seeking dining deals and discovery. The platform serves over 2 million customers and partners with 4,000+ venues across multiple cities. Recently ranked #11 on the 2025 Deloitte Tech Fast 50, EatClub is a 200+ person scaleup co-founded by Marco Pierre White and other food-tech leaders, now expanding rapidly across the UK and internationally.
As a Business Development Manager, you will own a territory in London and spend most of your time in the field meeting venue owners, building relationships, and signing restaurants onto the EatClub platform. Your territory is yours to build from day one with no shadow period—you have full autonomy to identify target neighborhoods, map venues, and execute your sales strategy.
A typical day involves prospecting new restaurant partners through walk-ins, cold calls, and scheduled meetings. You'll meet face-to-face with restaurant owners and managers, deliver product pitches explaining how EatClub drives customer traffic and revenue, and close commercial agreements. The average sales cycle from first contact to signed agreement is under two weeks. You'll manage a high-volume pipeline, track activity in the CRM, and hit 15+ outbound activities daily (calls, walk-ins, booked meetings combined). Between field meetings, you'll update your pipeline, follow up with prospects, and prepare for upcoming conversations.
You'll also collaborate with the broader EatClub team, sharing market insights about London's hospitality landscape and feeding back venue owner feedback to help refine sales approaches as the company expands into new cities.
This role suits someone who thrives independently, doesn't need constant direction, and gets genuine satisfaction from building something from scratch. You'll have direct access to a leadership team experienced in launching field sales teams across multiple markets. Compensation includes uncapped commission with strong earning potential—top performers make over £120k OTE. You'll also receive staff discounts and dining vouchers.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven track record in a high-volume, target-driven role with specific, documented numbers to back it up
- Comfort with high outbound activity including cold outreach and in-person conversations
- Experience managing a pipeline and progressing deals independently
- Confidence presenting solutions and negotiating commercial agreements
- Background tested in high-rejection environments (door-to-door, car sales, sports, or high-volume outbound roles)
- Ability to articulate your KPI attainment, conversion rate, and average deal cycle without looking them up
- Driven, persistent, competitive, and performance-oriented mindset
- Curious and thoughtful approach to understanding how venues operate
- Disciplined in managing time, territory, and pipeline
- Quick to learn and adapt to feedback
- Committed to building a sales career in a high-growth business
- Able to flip between high-volume outbound and in-person closing without losing energy
- Energized by building from scratch rather than maintaining existing business
NICE-TO-HAVE:
- Previous experience in hospitality, food tech, SaaS, or marketplace businesses
- Strong network within the hospitality industry
- Experience launching or growing new markets or territories
