AdeptID is an AI-first talent company solving critical labor shortages through proprietary search and match technology. Together with Adept Talent and Lucid Staffing Solutions, the company is building a next-generation healthcare staffing platform combining clinician-led operations, deep healthcare domain expertise in nursing and allied health, and AI automation to compress time-to-fill, reduce recruiter toil, and improve match quality. The Business Development Manager drives new client acquisition and revenue growth for Lucid Staffing Solutions. This role owns the complete business development lifecycle—from prospecting and outreach through contract negotiation and MSA execution—with a focus on building direct relationships with healthcare facilities. You will work closely with recruiting, account management, and operations to ensure new client relationships translate into successful placements and long-term partnerships. Key responsibilities include identifying and closing new direct client relationships with hospitals, imaging centers, long-term care facilities, and health systems; managing the full sales cycle from initial outreach through contract execution; building and maintaining a pipeline through networking, cold outreach, industry events, and referrals; and securing new lines of business at existing clients by introducing expanded service offerings. You will drive job order generation from new direct clients, focusing on travel nursing, allied health, and per diem placements; develop strategic account plans to grow gross profit; track pipeline activity and conversion rates; and collaborate with account management on smooth client transitions. You will also partner with recruiting leadership to align client expectations with fulfillment capacity, provide market intelligence to operations and product teams, maintain detailed prospecting records, and represent the company at industry conferences and networking events. Key performance indicators include new direct client MSA contracts signed per quarter, job orders generated from new client relationships, gross profit generated by client portfolio, pipeline volume and conversion rate, new lines of business opened at existing clients, and clinicians on assignment from new client accounts. Requirements: 5+ years of business development or sales experience in healthcare staffing with a proven track record of closing new client contracts. Deep understanding of the healthcare staffing landscape, including travel nursing, allied health, and per diem placement models. Demonstrated ability to manage a full sales cycle from prospecting through contract execution. Experience negotiating MSAs, SOWs, and staffing service agreements with healthcare facilities. Strong pipeline management skills with a data-driven approach to tracking activity and performance. Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Preferred: experience with VMS platforms and direct client engagement models; professional sales training or methodology certification (e.g., Challenger, SPIN, Sandler); existing network of healthcare facility contacts or decision-makers; familiarity with staffing technology platforms such as LaborEdge, Bullhorn, or similar CRM/ATS tools; track record of expanding revenue within existing client accounts through new service lines.
