Tia is transforming women's healthcare by integrating primary care, mental health, gynecology, dermatology, and wellness across in-person and virtual settings. The company is Series D venture-backed and serves over 120,000 women across multiple markets.
As Business Automation Engineer, you'll partner with People Operations, Credentialing, Clinical Operations, Data, Product, and Business Analytics teams to eliminate repetitive work and streamline business processes. You'll own projects end-to-end: from understanding workflows and identifying automation opportunities, through design and launch, to ongoing maintenance and optimization.
Key responsibilities include:
**Understand and improve business processes**: Work directly with teams to map workflows, identify exceptions and workarounds, and determine where automation can reduce repetitive work while preserving essential human judgment.
**Build practical, reliable solutions**: Design and build workflows using n8n or similar automation platforms, AI tools, and Python or JavaScript/Node.js. Connect systems through APIs, webhooks, and integrations. Choose the simplest effective solution—whether spreadsheet improvements, standard automation, or AI-assisted workflows. Implement robust error handling, logging, alerts, and human review mechanisms.
**Own workflows after launch**: Monitor performance, troubleshoot failures, and update workflows as systems and business needs evolve. Follow Tia's security, access, and AI governance controls when handling sensitive employee, business, or patient data. Maintain clear documentation.
**Help teams adopt improvements**: Involve teams throughout discovery, design, and rollout. Explain technical decisions in plain language, train teams on new workflows, and enable appropriate independent adjustments.
**Measure impact and share learning**: Establish baselines and measure time saved, accuracy, reliability, and adoption. Report results honestly, including limitations. Partner with Product on solutions that could become platform features. Evaluate emerging AI and automation tools.
