SumUp is seeking a Business Analyst for its Payments Processing (Acquiring) team in São Paulo. This role sits at the operational center of SumUp's card transaction processing engine in Brazil, serving as the bridge between external payment processors and scheme partners and internal teams that depend on accurate, timely data. You will monitor core payment KPIs including approval and acceptance rates, flagging issues that could impact financial results before they escalate. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing relationships with processors and scheme partners, resolving transaction-processing and operational incidents as they arise, and validating invoices from schemes and third parties to ensure charges are accurate and optimized. You will support the rollout of new payment capabilities and scheme compliance developments in close collaboration with technical and business teams. A key part of the role involves building and maintaining documentation that helps merchants, internal stakeholders, and the wider team understand transaction processing mechanics. You will also identify opportunities to reduce processing costs and improve merchant experience through data analysis. The acquiring team is described as the engine room behind every card transaction SumUp processes in Brazil. Success in this role directly impacts merchant payment reliability, cost control, and the avoidance of expensive processing issues.
