Quindar builds modern, cloud-native satellite mission operations software designed to operate satellites like servers. The platform replaces fragmented legacy ground systems with an integrated, automation-driven approach that brings modern software velocity to space operations.
In this role, you will develop ground satellite operations software using Python and AWS services. You'll work on APIs and integrate with AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Fargate, and EKS, with a focus on scalability, security, cost, and performance. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will implement new features, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resource utilization.
While your primary responsibility is backend software development, the ideal candidate can contribute across backend development, generative AI integrations, DevSecOps and CI/CD tooling, and software architecture design. You'll be part of an engineering team of frontend and backend engineers working in an Agile Scrum environment.
Quindar is a small, fast-moving team with deep aerospace and software roots. The company operates in the space operations sector, where you'll have direct impact on real satellite missions. No prior satellite or space expertise is required—the role emphasizes that satellites are simply flying servers you connect to every 90 minutes, and the platform manages hundreds of them.
