You will join the AI Engineering team to design and build third-party API integrations and scalable integration infrastructure powering TRM's AI-native products. This role focuses on creating reliable connectors, APIs, services, and platform capabilities that enable TRM's AI systems to safely access external data sources at scale.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain third-party API integrations for agentic products and workflows
- Develop scalable integration infrastructure, shared services, and internal tooling to accelerate adding new data sources
- Build reliable APIs, backend services, and data pipelines supporting high-volume, mission-critical experiences
- Collaborate with product, engineering, data, and internal stakeholders to translate integration needs into technical roadmaps
- Improve quality, observability, reliability, and maintainability of the integration platform as usage scales
- Participate in on-call rotation (approximately one week every 4–6 weeks)
The AI Engineering team operates on weekly sprints with a timezone mix of EST and PST (minimum 6 hours overlap, generally 8am–2pm PST). - Strong understanding of third-party API integration patterns: authentication, rate limits, retries, error handling, data normalization, monitoring
- Experience with storage systems (relational databases, analytical databases, queues, caches, event-driven architectures)
- Ability to work through ambiguity, structure complex problems, and identify highest-impact technical priorities
- Strong ownership mindset and comfort driving projects from vague requirements through production launch and iteration
- Ability to communicate complex technical ideas clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional environments (product, design, data, infrastructure, customer-facing teams)
- AI fluency expected: ability to apply AI to accelerate workflows, structure problems, improve output quality, and increase speed/leverage
- Plus: OSINT data source experience; AI production systems experience
