The Exploration Company is building innovative aerospace technologies for space transportation, developing Nyx—a modular, reusable space orbital vehicle designed for cargo and eventual human missions with in-orbit refueling capability. As an AIT (Assembly, Integration, and Test) Test Engineer, you will be central to ensuring Nyx can be successfully integrated and tested. Your responsibilities will span the full lifecycle of testing activities, from requirements definition through post-test reviews. Key responsibilities include: - Prepare, execute, and manage dynamic testing (vibration, shock tests) of subsystems and prototypes - Prepare, execute, and manage thermal testing (cycling, TVAC) of subsystems and prototypes - Write documentation before and after integration and test activities - Execute other AIT-domain testing (parachute, EMC, mechanisms, structural test models) - Support mechanical integration activities on the Nyx Capsule - Manage testing from requirements definition through post-test reviews - Write, review, and execute test procedures using tools like Epsilon3, ODOO, and Team Center - Execute in-house tests using internal equipment (vibration benches, thermal vacuum chambers, shock rigs) - Coordinate external testing at partner facilities - Procure and install instrumentation for testing - Interact with internal AIT teams, technicians, and external stakeholders - Resolve anomalies during integration and testing - Generate post-test reports and provide feedback on blockages or improvements - Support qualification of new AIT processes (welding, fittings) - Support procurement of testing equipment and tools - Collaborate with AIT technicians and MGSE teams on machined parts and tool design You will need to be versatile, capable of managing multiple testing activities in parallel, and proficient in safety standards and quality control. The role demands strong organizational skills, a hands-on problem-solving approach, and the ability to communicate effectively across all business levels in English. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: - Engineering degree (Master or PhD) in mechanical science, instrumentation/test, or equivalent - Experience in AIT of aerospace vehicles - Prior experience with vibration tables, thermal chambers, or similar equipment is a plus - Mechanical skills with electrical/digital and electromechanical knowledge appreciated - Leadership skills - Strong task organization and prioritization - Positive and flexible attitude - Fluent English communication - Organized and rigorous approach - Hands-on, inventive, problem-solving mindset with team spirit - Strong written documentation abilities
