The Exploration Company is building innovative aerospace technologies for space transportation, developing Nyx—a modular, reusable space orbital vehicle designed for in-orbit refueling and cargo (and eventually human) transport. As an AIT (Assembly, Integration, and Test) Propulsion Engineer, you will support the integration and testing of propulsion systems and related equipment, including in-house-built engines, thrusters, pumps, and igniters. You will manage preparation of equipment integration and functional tests for both the Propulsion Qualification Model (PQM) and Flight Model (FM), run qualification campaigns on mechanical components, and procure tools, FGSE (Ground Support Equipment), and test setups. Key responsibilities include: - Planning integration procedures and schedules - Collaborating with the design team to optimize designs for integration and testing - Executing assembly, integration, and testing operations on the capsule with a dedicated team - Running functional tests (internal TVAC, outgassing, hydrostatic tests, proof tests, Cv characterization, etc.) - Documenting integration and test results clearly - Defining lessons learned and driving continuous improvement You will work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment focused on democratizing space exploration through affordable and accessible technology. REQUIREMENTS: - Master's or PhD in mechanical engineering, propulsion, or equivalent - Understanding of liquid propulsion systems - Dual skill set: mechanical assembly/integration with small tool and GSE design capability, plus electrical skills for testing (data acquisition systems, Python scripting, harness work) - Willingness to build and support a new team - Organized and rigorous approach - Hands-on, problem-solving mindset - Strong communication and prioritization skills - Team-oriented with positive, flexible attitude - Alignment with company values: Commitment, Innovation, Trust, Quality, Teamwork
