Crusoe is a vertically integrated AI infrastructure company building the stack from energy to tokens to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads. The Storage engineering team is the backbone of Crusoe's AI cloud platform, and this role sits at the intersection of engineering excellence and AI adoption. You will build AI-powered automation tools that reduce manual engineering toil in storage operations and workflows. Beyond building, you'll drive adoption of AI coding tools like Claude Code and Codex across the Storage team—creating compelling use cases, lowering friction to adoption, and mentoring engineers on effective AI tool usage. You'll help the team leverage AI for test creation, correctness checks, and code review, freeing developers from repetitive work. You'll partner closely with the DevX team on tooling and platform-level changes, though your primary focus is driving adoption and use cases within Storage rather than owning DevX-owned platform systems. This is a high-latitude role where you shape how an entire engineering team works. You'll have real influence over tool adoption, mentor engineers one-on-one, and remove friction that keeps great tools from getting used. The role requires someone who is genuinely excited about AI tools and can translate that enthusiasm into team-wide adoption and measurable outcomes. REQUIREMENTS: - 3+ years of professional industry experience building with AI tools, with measurable outcomes - Track record of getting a team to adopt a tool or workflow you introduced - Experience turning a personally built internal tool using AI into something a team relies on - Strong software engineering fundamentals - Genuine enthusiasm for AI coding tools and hands-on experience across multiple tools (Claude Code, Codex, etc.) - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field BONUS: - Prior exposure to cloud storage, networking, or infrastructure environments - Cross-functional working experience across DevX, Product Management, and Engineering
