Commerzbank's flexhub is an internal delivery capability based in Frankfurt, Sofia, and Łódź—a team of engineers, architects, analysts, and experts working directly with business units on high-priority initiatives. Unlike external consultancies, flexhub colleagues stay embedded, building lasting internal expertise without sales targets or utilization pressure.
As an AI Prompt Engineer, you will develop and refine complex prompts and chains to solve specific business problems within the bank's digital transformation journey. You'll work with developers to integrate Large Language Model (LLM) capabilities into wider application architectures, implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines to ground model responses in reliable data, and establish evaluation metrics to measure prompt performance and drift over time.
Key responsibilities include debugging complex chains and resolving issues related to hallucinations or latency, creating automated test suites for prompt regression testing, and contributing to an internal library of prompt patterns and best practices. You'll also explain technical AI limitations and capabilities to product owners, bridging the gap between engineering and business stakeholders.
This role offers consulting variety within a stable corporate environment. You'll join different teams across the bank when your expertise is needed, then move on to the next challenge, building strong internal know-how while contributing to meaningful work.
Benefits include 25 days annual paid leave (increasing to 31 days), flexible working hours, work-from-home and work-from-abroad opportunities, luxury health and dental insurance, EUR 80 monthly food vouchers, 6 additional days off for exceptional circumstances, an employee assistance program, multisport card, annual EUR 153.39 contribution per child for summer camps/school/kindergarten (up to age 15), and access to training, certifications, and conferences for professional development. The environment is multicultural, supportive, and committed to diversity and equal opportunity.
