Salary: USD 175,000 - 250,000 / annual
Gyde is building the first AI-native insurance brokerage platform, transforming how millions of Americans access and understand healthcare coverage. The company acquires traditional brokerages and reimagines them as next-generation, data-driven organizations using AI to automate operations, power intelligent voice and chat experiences, and predict optimal coverage for individuals and businesses. The founding team includes leaders from Oscar, Stripe, Vista Equity Partners, and Alpine, with $60M in Series funding led by Lightspeed and participation from Optum Ventures, Crystal Venture Partners, and others.
In this role, you will lead the development and delivery of key applications within Gyde's AI-native platform—encompassing voice, chat, personalization, and real-time analytics—to drive growth, automation, and insights across acquired agencies. You'll partner closely with the CTO and COO on AI-driven workflows and with Product on roadmap prioritization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop AI-driven applications using LLMs, voice, and chat to automate broker workflows, unlock revenue growth, and improve member engagement
- Build tools and infrastructure with focus on security, reliability, and HIPAA compliance
- Integrate with third-party systems (AgencyBloc, Sunfire, HealthSherpa, Ideon) to streamline agent and member experiences
- Contribute to a modular, multi-tenant architecture supporting tens of agencies and millions of members, enabling agent growth, carrier contracting, commission processing, and reporting
- Collaborate across Ops, Value Creation, and Data teams to translate real-world brokerage problems into scalable engineering solutions
You bring strong product sense, fluency in user needs, and empathy for both agents and end consumers. You have a passion for building on the frontier of AI with ideally hands-on experience building AI applications. You thrive in ambiguity, take ownership with urgency and pragmatism, and work effectively with world-class talent in a highly team-oriented, competitive environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in CS, Engineering, AI/ML, or equivalent
- 3+ years of engineering leadership
- 1+ years building AI/ML products at scale
- Familiarity with health insurance distribution, healthcare, financial services, and HIPAA compliance preferred but not required
