The company serves over 31,000 teachers across 3,300+ educational centers in Spain, the US, Mexico, Italy, Chile, Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil, and Peru, impacting more than 720,000 students. You will join the Accounting team with a fundamental role in ensuring correct accounting and tax management of the Spanish entity within the group. You will be responsible for ensuring that accounting accurately reflects the company's reality and that all tax obligations are met, contributing to maintaining a solid financial position and continuously improving processes. Key responsibilities include: **Accounting:** Lead monthly and annual closings with in-depth analysis to ensure quality and identify issues or improvements. Prepare annual accounts and management financial statements in accordance with the Spanish Chart of Accounts (PGC). Serve as the expert on PGC matters, advising on complex accounting issues and new business initiatives. Analyze and document accounting treatment of complex operations, justifying criteria to auditors. Ensure reliability of bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations. **Audit, Governance & Risk:** Coordinate annual external audits as the primary contact with auditors, ensuring timely documentation delivery. Maintain strong internal controls across all accounting processes and ensure regulatory compliance. Drive financial transformation initiatives and system improvements, particularly in NetSuite, to automate tasks. **Tax:** Prepare and file VAT, personal income tax, and corporate income tax declarations, coordinating with external advisors as needed. Address tax authority requirements and monitor regulatory updates. **Coordination & Collaboration:** Serve as the accounting and tax reference for the Spanish entity, resolving queries from various company areas. Work closely with the FP&A team to ensure quality financial reporting. Benefits include flexible schedules, Christmas week off, and flexible compensation. **Requirements:** - Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or similar - Minimum 4 years of accounting experience in an international firm or end-client company - Big Four audit experience is a plus - Strong knowledge of Spanish Chart of Accounts (PGC) and Spanish tax regulations - Prior experience with NetSuite or another ERP system - Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets - Analytical capability, organizational skills, and attention to detail - Autonomy and ability to manage priorities
