AnySignal is building the next generation of RF products and services for space and defense missions. You will lead the physical ground segment of the company, owning antenna systems, RF engineering, hardware build, deployment, and the engineering team behind all of it. The core challenge is scale: transitioning from one-off antenna deployments to a repeatable, manufacturable product with increasing deployment velocity each quarter. You will drive this transition by supporting design maturation, owning manufacturability and production readiness, building the supply chain, and running the deployment pipeline that converts hardware into operational network capacity. This is a true VP role with strategic ownership of the physical segment and its outcomes. You will build and lead the organization delivering those results. However, as a VP at a hardware company, you will remain deeply technical—participating in design reviews, making real technical calls, and leading from the front. Key responsibilities include: managing the entire deployment pipeline from build through site integration, installation, and commissioning; ensuring manufacturability and production readiness through DFM/DFA discipline and test strategy; serving as a senior technical voice in active system design, reviewing architecture and detailed design while catching field and manufacturing problems early; directing RF systems work and making integration trade-offs across RF, mechanical, and software; developing supply chain and manufacturing strategy as volume grows; growing the hardware and deployment team substantially across mechanical, RF, and field engineering roles; and defining the technical roadmap from antenna deployments today toward full ground station buildouts. You will own deployment throughput (antennas deployed and operating), design partnership with active systems, RF systems direction, supply chain and manufacturing strategy, organizational growth, and the technical roadmap. REQUIREMENTS: - Background as a mechanical or systems engineer who has shipped ambitious electromechanical hardware (systems with motors, precision motion, outdoor-rated structures) - Proven experience taking hardware from working prototype to repeatable production and field deployment - Track record building and leading hardware organizations while remaining technically credible - Experience deploying hardware into uncontrolled environments (weather, remote sites, real installation logistics) - Ability to direct RF work and hire RF talent (RF expertise not required) - Direct antenna or ground station experience is a plus but not required - Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or eligible to obtain necessary ITAR authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
