VAST Data is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join its growing team supporting strategic accounts. The company is a data platform provider for the AI era, building enterprise software infrastructure to capture, catalog, refine, enrich, and protect massive datasets for real-time analysis and AI training/inference.
In this role, you will be a key technical contributor working directly with enterprise customers and internal R&D teams. Your responsibilities include:
• Assist customers with system evaluations, benchmarks, configurations, and installations
• Work closely with VAST R&D Engineering to define product requirements and usability, including creation of product specification documents
• Participate in sales strategy and tactics, owning technical responsibilities within customer accounts
• Demonstrate technical leadership and subject matter expertise on storage products, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and competitive offerings in DAS, NAS, and SAN product spaces
• Create architecture "blueprints" for repeatable solutions that the Sales team will deliver to customers
• Help develop a dispersed group of system and field engineers
• Consult on formation, building, and management of a Support organization
