VAST Data is seeking a Systems Engineer to join its enterprise infrastructure team. The company is a data platform provider for the AI era, building enterprise software infrastructure to capture, catalog, refine, enrich, and protect massive datasets for real-time analysis and AI training/inference. The role sits at the intersection of customer success, product development, and technical leadership.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist customers with system evaluations, benchmarks, configurations, and installations
- Work closely with R&D Engineering to define product requirements and usability, including creation of product specification documents
- Participate in sales strategy and tactics, owning technical responsibilities within customer accounts
- Demonstrate technical leadership and subject matter expertise on storage products, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and competitive offerings in DAS, NAS, and SAN product spaces
- Create architecture "blueprints" for repeatable solutions that the Sales team will deliver to customers
- Help develop a dispersed group of system and field engineers
- Consult on forming, building, and managing a Support organization
