CesiumAstro develops advanced communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms. We are seeking a Staff Manufacturing Engineer to lead manufacturing strategy and execution for complex aerospace products.
In this role, you will establish manufacturing processes, production workflows, tooling, and fixtures for sophisticated assemblies. You will define manufacturing approaches by evaluating production requirements, process capability, equipment utilization, manufacturability, and efficiency. Key responsibilities include leading manufacturing process development through engineering analyses, design reviews, and technical assessments; managing complex process validation, equipment qualification, first article builds, and production readiness activities; and evaluating production performance and manufacturing data to direct continuous improvements.
You will serve as the manufacturing engineering lead, coordinating cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, supply chain, production control, and operations. You will develop manufacturing documentation, work instructions, engineering reports, and process flows supporting engineering decisions. You will support design reviews, manufacturing reviews, and new product introduction activities by providing manufacturing guidance. Additionally, you will establish manufacturing engineering best practices, process standards, and configuration management processes across programs, and drive initiatives that enhance manufacturability, quality, productivity, and production readiness.
This is a hands-on, interactive role in a dynamic, cross-functional environment where you will have autonomy and opportunity to develop across the organization.
