Salary: USD 169,150 - 233,000 / annual
Oura is seeking a highly experienced Staff Full Stack Engineer to join the Human Care Ecosystem Team. This team is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining Oura's partnership integrations, healthcare, and B2B products that serve hundreds of thousands of users globally.
In this role, you will provide technical leadership for full stack development, guiding technology and design choices while mentoring other full stack developers. You'll take ownership of high-quality solutions from design through production, monitoring, and documentation, helping shape best practices across the engineering lifecycle. You'll partner closely with product managers and designers to deliver accessible, responsive, and user-friendly experiences that expand Oura's use cases into new markets through partnerships, healthcare, and B2B initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing technical leadership and mentoring for full stack developers
- Contributing to experiences that improve the lives of hundreds of thousands of people globally
- Partnering with product managers and designers on accessible, responsive solutions
- Taking end-to-end ownership from design through production, monitoring, and documentation
- Applying strong software engineering expertise to solve ambiguous problems and improve architecture
- Ensuring platform compliance with security, data privacy, and regulatory standards
- Collaborating effectively in a globally distributed, diverse team
Tech stack includes: TypeScript, React, React Query, Python, AWS (EKS, CDK, Lambdas, RDS, DynamoDB), PostgreSQL, GitHub Actions, and Sentry.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of practical full-stack web development work experience
- Extensive experience with TypeScript and modern client-side frameworks such as React (Python experience is a plus but not required)
- Ability to write highly maintainable, extensible, well-tested, and easy-to-understand code
- Experience architecting, building, and deploying scalable, performant web services in production on AWS or similar platforms
- Pragmatic entrepreneurial attitude with delivery-focused mindset; understanding of tradeoffs between short-term goals and long-term tech debt
- Team-oriented mindset and comfort working in diverse, distributed environments
