ServiceNow is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and operate features and services within their cloud-native platform. You will deliver well-defined work from implementation through production with limited guidance, breaking features into clear executable tasks and delivering them iteratively. You'll collaborate with staff and senior engineers to align your work with team designs and platform standards, while contributing to reliability, scalability, and operability through testing, instrumentation, runbooks, and on-call participation. The role is nearly entirely hands-on, focused on building automation, tooling, and platform services that other teams depend on. You will also support junior engineers through code review, pairing, and knowledge sharing. ServiceNow is an AI control tower for business reinvention, bringing together any AI, any data, and any workflow to help enterprises work smarter and faster. The company serves 85% of the Fortune 500 and is building an AI-native culture. REQUIREMENTS: - 3+ years building production software with exposure to deploying and operating workloads on Kubernetes - Experience leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into engineering work (AI-powered coding/operational tooling, workflow automation, or reasoning about AI's impact on software/infrastructure) - Hands-on experience with at least one major hyperscaler (AWS, Azure, GCP) and its core compute and networking primitives - Track record of reliably delivering features and improvements as a productive engineering team member - Working knowledge of containers, CI/CD pipelines, and Git-based development workflows - Good programming skills in Go (or another systems language with willingness to work primarily in Go) NICE-TO-HAVE: - Experience running workloads on managed Kubernetes (EKS/AKS/GKE) - Familiarity with GitOps-based delivery and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform - Exposure to observability tooling (metrics, logging, dashboards) - Familiarity with networking and security fundamentals (DNS, TLS, IAM) - Experience participating in on-call rotations
