In this Software/UI Engineer role, you will design and build engaging applications for Android and iOS platforms. You'll work closely with backend developers to integrate APIs, third-party libraries, and cloud services like Firebase to ensure seamless data flow and functionality. You'll collaborate with third-party development teams on new features and releases, develop and maintain cloud server applications and infrastructure, and participate in the full software development lifecycle from requirements gathering through deployment.
You'll work alongside designers, product managers, and test engineers, adhering to best practices and coding standards. You'll conduct code reviews, maintain clear documentation, and contribute to a collaborative environment with a flat organizational structure that values integrity, autonomy, and creativity.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or 6+ years of relevant professional experience
- Proficiency developing with Kotlin for Android
- Proficiency with Figma for UX design and mockups
- Experience using Flutter for cross-platform application development
- Experience with UI design and reactive UI patterns
- Experience with ProtoBufs, MQTT, WebSockets, and restricted-bandwidth data protocols
- Experience with Embedded Linux and Linux system services
- Experience working with databases such as SQLite
- Experience using version control tools like Git and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
- Strong written and verbal technical communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hands-on experience with AWS IoT Core and Lambda
- Proficiency in C# and Python
- Familiarity with Ethernet, WiFi, LTE, and Bluetooth
- Familiarity with GTest Framework or equivalent
- Experience with XCode and TestFlight
- Experience working with cross-functional software, hardware, test, and manufacturing teams
