As a Software Infrastructure Engineer, you will design, implement, and operate the infrastructure, tooling, and workflows that enable building, releasing, deploying, and testing spacecraft and hardware systems. This role bridges software engineering and mission-critical operations, requiring close collaboration with Software and Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC) teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partner with Software and GNC teams to develop, operate, and continuously improve automated build, integration, test, and deployment pipelines
- Design, develop, and maintain systems for deploying binaries and software artifacts to spacecraft hardware used for flight operations and hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) testing
- Develop reliable, automated deployment workflows supporting software releases and test operations at launch and test sites
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and data-analysis capabilities that support continuous integration, release readiness, and test operations
- Develop and maintain containerized environments and infrastructure-as-code automation to provision, configure, and operate CI, HITL, and test-site infrastructure
This is an opportunity to work on critical infrastructure for aerospace systems, where reliability and automation directly impact mission success. You'll own end-to-end deployment and testing systems for hardware that operates in space.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Math, Physics, Engineering, or related technical field
- 2+ years of demonstrated experience in Software Infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or Software Engineering
- Demonstrated experience with Git and CI/CD tooling (GitLab CI/CD, Github Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience in at least one scripting or programming language (Python, Bash, or equivalent) used to build automation and developer tooling
- Demonstrated experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Podman, or equivalent)
- Demonstrated experience with Linux systems, network configuration, and common networking protocols
