The Enterprise Platform Technology (EPT) team at OpenAI builds internal software for the company's go-to-market teams, streamlining workflows and improving decision-making. As a full-stack Software Engineer on EPT, you will design and deliver web applications, integrations, and shared platform capabilities that support sales and business operations. You will own architecture decisions and partner with business and engineering teams to improve seller workflows and develop intelligent workflow experiences. The role requires a product-minded engineer who can independently translate complex business needs into full-stack software solutions. Key responsibilities include: - Design and deliver full-stack web applications and integrations supporting go-to-market workflows - Define platform and application boundaries that allow other teams to extend systems while protecting sensitive data, reliability, and data integrity - Work with product and business partners to prioritize capabilities, including intelligent experiences informed by business context - Communicate clearly and collaborate across engineering and business teams The EPT platform uses Python/FastAPI and React, though experience with these specific technologies is not required. Agentic-system experience is a plus but not a requirement. The role is based in San Francisco with a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week. OpenAI offers relocation assistance to new employees. Requirements: - 5+ years of professional software engineering experience (excluding internships) on product-driven teams - Experience building large-scale, full-stack software applications in collaboration with cross-functional teams - Ability to make sound architecture and product decisions for connected systems, with attention to sensitive data, reliability, and maintainability - Strong communication and collaboration skills across engineering and business teams
