The Ads Platform is a key technology that helps merchant partners strategically deploy budgets and reach targeted consumers. In this Software Engineer II role on the Ads Platform team, you will work with your tech lead and manager to break down larger projects into individual tasks and deliver them in multiple phases. You'll contribute to the operations and availability of your team's systems by creating and monitoring metrics, escalating issues when needed, and supporting on-call efforts. You'll also engage in community-building activities such as participating in the interview process and mentoring peers. You'll work on a fullstack platform that leverages machine learning and rich consumer/merchant data to personalize the shopping experience. The role involves shipping web applications, designing and launching APIs at scale, and navigating a large codebase while writing clear, well-tested, and extensible code. Affirm is remote-first with flexibility built in. Most roles can be done from almost anywhere within the US. New hires are invited to attend an in-person onboarding experience.
