Anysphere, maker of Cursor (an AI-native code editor), is hiring a Software Engineer for the Grok Connectors team to build integrations that enable Grok, Cursor, and Grok Bot to perform real work inside tools professionals use daily: Gmail, Outlook, Google Calendar and Drive, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint, GitHub, Slack, finance accounts, and a growing marketplace of third-party MCP plugins. You will architect, implement, and deploy features end-to-end, spanning OAuth sign-in and token handling, tool schemas and reliability across hundreds of millions of tool calls, and the cards and approval flows users see on web, desktop, and mobile. You'll work directly with enterprise customers and partners to ship connectors that large organizations can trust. Sample projects include: building automated triage systems that pull user reports, group them by root cause with impact estimates, and file issues; redesigning OAuth token refresh to prevent concurrent requests from burning single-use refresh tokens; cutting hundreds of thousands of daily tool-call errors by generating tool definitions from vendor API specs; shipping Gmail and Outlook draft, reply, and attachment flows with approval cards; launching new partner connectors; and enabling connectors to work across enterprise and single-tenant deployments with custom certificate authorities, Entra Conditional Access, admin controls, and compliance reviews. The organization is flat and talent-dense. They value truth-seeking, passionate, and creative people who enjoy spirited debate, crazy ideas, and shipping code. REQUIREMENTS: - Deep, practical knowledge of OAuth 2.0 and OIDC and large provider APIs like Google Workspace and Microsoft Graph (or excitement to become the expert) - Strong focus on reliability: concurrency, retries, rate limits, and observability; fixing root causes, not symptoms - Data-driven approach: sizing user impact from logs and metrics, measuring error rates before and after fixes - Strong TypeScript skills and comfort shipping across backend services and client UI in a large codebase - Ability to work effectively with customers, partners, QA, and support; clear communication on security and technical matters - Entrepreneurial spirit and desire to create outsized business impact - Passion for making AI agents genuinely useful by connecting them to real data and real actions safely - Bonus: experience with MCP protocol, Rust, Kubernetes and multi-cloud deployments, enterprise security and compliance (ZDR, audit logs, Conditional Access), or building LLM agents for automation
