As a Senior Software Engineer on the Enterprise Engineering team, you will own projects from design through production, building systems and features that make CodeRabbit reliable, secure, and scalable for large organizations. You'll work across backend services, enterprise integrations, and self-hosted deployments, combining hands-on engineering with customer problem-solving.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing enterprise capabilities that help large organizations adopt and scale CodeRabbit across engineering teams
- Improving self-hosted deployments, including configuration, upgrades, and observability for customer-managed environments
- Building backend services, APIs, and distributed systems that support demanding enterprise workloads
- Implementing security controls and compliance-related capabilities for enterprise requirements
- Building and maintaining integrations with customers' existing developer tools and internal systems
- Translating customer needs into technical requirements, supporting deployments, and troubleshooting production issues
- Driving projects through design, implementation, testing, release, and ongoing operation
- Contributing thoughtful design and code reviews, mentoring engineers, and improving team practices
You'll collaborate with engineers, AI researchers, infrastructure specialists, and product partners to bring intelligent code review to enterprise teams while meeting their needs for security, compliance, performance, and operational control.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4+ years of software engineering experience building and operating backend systems or distributed infrastructure in production, ideally in SaaS or enterprise software
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript/Node.js, Go, Java, or comparable modern backend stack
- Experience designing and maintaining APIs using REST, GraphQL, or similar approaches
- Experience with microservices, asynchronous job processing, and event-driven architectures
- Working knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), including schema design and query performance
- Experience with AWS or GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and production observability
- Strong engineering fundamentals: testing, code reviews, version control, debugging, maintainable system design
- Sound judgment balancing security, reliability, performance, developer experience, and delivery speed
- Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate with customers and technical/nontechnical stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience

- Experience building self-hosted or customer-managed enterprise software
- Familiarity with enterprise identity, access controls, audit logging, or compliance requirements
- Experience integrating AI or LLM-based capabilities into production workflows
- Experience with code search, code graphs, tree-sitter, or static analysis tools
