Thunes is a global fintech platform providing real-time payment infrastructure across 140+ countries and 90+ currencies. The company operates a Direct Global Network connecting to 12 billion mobile wallets, stablecoin wallets, and bank accounts, plus 15 billion cards via 220+ payment methods. Clients include Uber, Deliveroo, Grab, WeChat, and major financial institutions.
You will join the Engineering team in Singapore as a Full Stack Software Engineer, reporting to the Software Engineering Lead. This role combines startup agility with the scale of an established industry leader. You'll work on core platform and business products, focusing on scalability, performance, and reliability of systems processing millions of transactions monthly.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop highly available API-driven services (client and server side)
- Participate in design, implementation, and shipping of new products to internal and external stakeholders
- Deliver high-quality, testable, secure, readable, scalable, and documented software
- Apply and champion agile methodology practices (code reviews, sprint planning, pair programming, daily stand-ups)
- Evaluate new technologies and initiatives
- Own your code end-to-end: write, test, and deploy multiple times daily
- Interface with technology teams across different countries
The core tech stack includes Golang, Python, Perl (Mojolicious), PostgreSQL, Vue.js, Docker, Nginx, and AWS. You'll work in an environment emphasizing learning, feedback, and ownership. The platform operates 24/7 globally and must be reliable, secure, and massively scalable.

Requirements:
- Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (preferred)
- Proficiency in Golang (required); experience with Perl or Python a plus
- Experience with front-end languages and libraries (HTML/CSS, JavaScript)
- Experience with VueJS or similar JavaScript frameworks
- Experience with relational databases
- Experience designing and developing web and API solutions as a full stack engineer or similar role
- Motivated, curious mindset with appetite for learning
- Passion for agile methodology and practices (TDD, CI/CD)
- Interest in fintech industry and market innovations
