Weave is building an operating system for small healthcare practices, powering communication, payments, and AI-driven experiences for thousands of businesses and millions of patients. We are seeking a Mobile Developer to join our fully remote mobile engineering team based in India.
In this role, you will develop scalable, fast, and visually engaging mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms using a single codebase (Flutter). You will collaborate closely with product designers, backend teams, and senior developers to deliver features that directly impact users' day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build smooth, cross-platform UI components for iOS and Android using Flutter and Dart
- Integrate mobile applications with backend APIs and handle local data management efficiently
- Write clean, readable, and maintainable code following team standards
- Write reliable unit, widget, and integration tests to ensure application stability and multi-component interactions work seamlessly
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs and performance bottlenecks
- Partner closely with product managers, designers, and senior engineers within an Agile framework
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and code reviews
- Engage in regular pair programming sessions with senior developers to accelerate technical growth
- Debug, troubleshoot, and fine-tune application performance across various devices and screen sizes
The ideal candidate takes initiative without waiting for direction, cares deeply about customer impact and clear architecture, and enjoys resolving ambiguity and influencing technical decisions. You will report to the Engineering Manager.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of professional mobile development experience focusing on Flutter and Dart
- Strong grasp of modern state management solutions (e.g., Riverpod, BLoC, or Provider)
- Solid experience integrating RESTful APIs and utilizing local databases (SQLite/Hive)
- Proficiency with Git version control, pull requests, and standard code review processes
- Keen eye for UI/UX details, animations, and responsive design
- Strong communication skills for a highly collaborative, remote-first team
- Basic familiarity with mobile app lifecycles and fundamental mobile app architecture concepts
- Eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow in a fast-paced environment
- Market awareness and curiosity to keep up with mobile industry trends
- Awareness of modern developer productivity tools and AI development tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior exposure to native iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin) development
- Experience building world-class mobile applications
- Good knowledge of idiomatic Dart, Swift, or Kotlin languages and Flutter framework
- Experience with Flutter state management patterns such as BLoC or Cubit
- Experience with Sentry, SQLite/Hive, Firebase, and GitHub
- Experience with performance benchmarking and tuning
- Understanding of how mobile systems are deployed, monitored, and operated in production
