Tilled is a PayFac-as-a-Service platform that enables B2B SaaS companies and ISVs to become Payment Facilitators without the operational burden. We're looking for a mid-level software engineer to join our growing team and work directly with our Head of Engineering. In this role, you'll have broad end-to-end responsibilities across our entire stack. Your work will directly impact every aspect of Tilled's business success. Day-to-day activities include: - Creating, developing, deploying, and maintaining Tilled services - Designing and implementing highly reliable, fault-tolerant systems - Collecting and visualizing detailed telemetry data to continuously improve systems - Advancing and adhering to high-quality coding practices including unit testing and pair programming - Taking end-to-end responsibility for services you create, continuously monitoring and improving them - Promoting an engineering team culture that is learning-focused, motivated, and collaborative - Working with a variety of technologies including TypeScript, Angular, Node.js, and PostgreSQL You'll work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a remote-dispersed team. Typical hours are 8 am to 5 pm, Monday-Friday, and you must be authorized to work in the United States and reside in a US time zone. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role. REQUIREMENTS: - 2+ years of software development experience - 2+ years of web application framework experience (such as Node.js) - 2+ years of database-related experience (such as PostgreSQL) - Ability to function with confidence in a fast-paced, high-growth environment - Ability to work seamlessly in a remote, dispersed team environment BENEFICIAL EXPERIENCE: - Angular or TypeScript experience - Start-up experience - AWS experience - Experience implementing payment systems (Stripe, Braintree) - Experience optimizing production systems for performance, quality, and reliability
