Harmony is an AI-native enterprise service platform that deploys autonomous agents inside Slack and Microsoft Teams to resolve employee requests across IT, HR, finance, procurement, and legal. The company has built 100+ prebuilt agents with a 70% no-touch resolution rate, automating service delivery without removing human judgment from complex issues.
You will lead major projects end-to-end, taking full ownership of significant features and initiatives from technical design through production. This is a full-stack role where you'll contribute across frontend, backend, and infrastructure with high craft standards. You'll work closely with product managers to understand customer problems, challenge requirements constructively, and translate product goals into excellent technical outcomes.
A core part of this role is designing and building agentic systems—the heart of what Harmony does. You'll design multi-step AI agents, integrate LLMs into product workflows, and push the frontier of autonomous service resolution. You're expected to use AI as a force multiplier throughout your workflow: code generation, test coverage, documentation, exploration, and debugging to significantly increase productivity.
You'll ship with operational awareness, taking responsibility for what you build in production: instrumenting services, monitoring behavior, and acting when something's wrong. You'll stay close to customers, engaging with feedback and real-world usage to ground technical decisions in actual impact.
This is an opportunity to work on foundational AI/agent technology at a well-funded startup solving real enterprise problems.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 6+ years of software engineering experience with a track record of leading and delivering complex projects in production B2B SaaS environments
- Strong full-stack capabilities: comfortable owning frontend, backend, and ops
- Solid experience building microservices-based architectures on Kubernetes and AWS, with understanding of operational concerns (reliability, scalability, cost)
- High ownership mentality
- Strong collaboration skills: communicate clearly with engineers and non-engineers, give and receive direct feedback well, make people around you better
- Deeply self-directed and intellectually curious: take initiative, navigate ambiguity, learn fast without detailed instruction
- Hands-on experience building agentic or AI-native products: LLM integration, agent orchestration, tool use, RAG, and evals
PREFERRED:
- Active engagement with AI/agent space beyond work: follow research, experiment with new models and frameworks, form real opinions
- Experience in early-stage startups contributing to foundational architecture and engineering culture
- Comfort with full operational picture: on-call experience, production incident debugging, observability as first-class concern
