Abnormal AI is building a suite of interconnected cloud-based security solutions to help businesses combat cybercrime. The Development Infrastructure team is responsible for creating the foundational tools, systems, and environments that enable the broader engineering organization to build and ship high-quality software reliably and efficiently.
In this role, you will be a hands-on engineer working on the infrastructure that powers Abnormal's product development. You'll lead the design and delivery of complex, multi-component features within the Development Infrastructure team's offerings, and help shape the roadmap for this critical area. Your responsibilities include developing and maintaining CI/CD infrastructure and tools that allow engineers to deploy changes with confidence and minimal friction. You'll design and implement enhancements to GitHub Actions infrastructure, base Docker images, and build/deploy pipelines, focusing on improvements in scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.
You'll use AI tools to explore and compare solutions, then adapt generated changes to real production constraints while weighing system complexity and long-term maintainability. You'll take ownership of on-call issues—including complex ones where the root cause is unclear—and fix the systemic gaps behind them. You'll participate in planning, code reviews, standups, and other aspects of the software development lifecycle, and coach other engineers on the team.
This is a role for someone who thrives in collaborative, fast-paced environments, has a passion for helping others build world-class systems, demonstrates exceptional teamwork, and embraces continuous learning.
