Webull is a cloud-native fintech platform serving over 20 million users globally, operating 24/7 trading infrastructure across 16 regions. We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to ensure our AWS-powered trading platform maintains 99.99% availability, security, and scalability. In this role, you will operate and maintain Webull's production AWS environments across multiple regions, including EC2, VPC, ELB/ALB, Route 53, S3, RDS/Aurora, ElastiCache, MSK, and EKS. You will build and tune comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK/OpenSearch, defining SLIs/SLOs to reduce alert noise and ensure on-call engineers focus on critical issues. You will provision and manage infrastructure through Terraform/CloudFormation and GitOps workflows, standardizing environment builds and eliminating manual console changes. You will operate EKS/Kubernetes clusters, including upgrades, capacity planning, autoscaling, and Helm/ArgoCD-based deployments. Security and compliance are core responsibilities: you will manage IAM roles and policies, Security Groups, KMS, Secrets Manager, and certificate lifecycles, while supporting SOC 2, FINRA/SEC audit requests and remediating findings from Security Hub, GuardDuty, and AWS Config. You will maintain VPC design, subnets, routing, Transit Gateway, VPC peering, PrivateLink, and Site-to-Site VPN connectivity with third-party vendors. Additional responsibilities include designing and testing backup, cross-region failover, and disaster recovery runbooks to meet RTO/RPO targets; tracking cloud spend with Cost Explorer and optimizing resource allocation; and writing Python, Shell, and Go tooling to automate operational tasks. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related technical field - 4+ years of hands-on experience in cloud operations, SRE, or DevOps, including 3+ years running production workloads on AWS - Solid knowledge of core AWS services: EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, ELB, Route 53, RDS, CloudWatch, and EKS - Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills; good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, VPN, and TLS - Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes - Working experience with Terraform or CloudFormation, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or ArgoCD - Proficiency in Python or Shell scripting; Go is a plus - Familiarity with MySQL, Redis, and Kafka in production environments - Experience in broker-dealer, electronic trading, or other regulated financial environments - Willingness to join an on-call rotation and support global trading sessions outside regular hours when needed Preferred qualifications: - AWS Certifications: Solutions Architect Associate/Professional, SysOps Administrator, or DevOps Engineer Professional - Experience with AWS Organizations, Control Tower, and landing-zone design - Interest in using AI agents or LLMs for operational automation - Fluency in Mandarin and English to work with global engineering hubs
