Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. The Warfighter Systems organization brings cutting-edge technology directly to front-line personnel through wearable tech, immersive mission command tools, and integrated software-hardware ecosystems that enhance situational awareness, survivability, and combat effectiveness.
You will serve as a Senior Systems Engineer managing the design and integration of complex systems for the Warfighter Systems team. This is a technical leadership role focused on external partnerships and cross-organizational integration.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead partner engagements end-to-end: conduct technical exchanges, own integration design, and drive open items to written resolution across both organizations
- Design across organizational boundaries, owning problems that span multiple engineering teams and companies where no single team owns the answer; lead through design, orchestration, and proof of concept
- Establish reusable patterns by converting recurring engagement patterns into reference architectures, decision guidance, and integration documentation that define standards for other teams
- Own the intake process: translate partner and field needs into scoped, prioritized engineering work and return documented decisions on each request
You will work at the intersection of Anduril's Warfighter Systems and Connected Warfare organizations, which build systems supporting global command and control missions, creating joint, time-sensitive, multi-domain connected mesh ecosystems that enable military operations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field, or equivalent experience
- 8+ years in systems engineering, solutions architecture, integration engineering, technical program management, forward-deployed engineering, model-based systems engineering, or systems modeling language
- Demonstrated ownership across organizational boundaries: experience as technical lead to an external engineering team or owner of a developer-facing platform with external or internal customers
- Proven ability to conduct technical working sessions, hold substantive technical positions, document resulting decisions, and track outstanding commitments on both sides
- Strong technical writing skills: ability to produce reference architectures and integration guides that engineers can follow to completion (writing sample required)
- Demonstrated ability to communicate the same technical decision to both a partner's engineering team and senior military stakeholders
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- DoD delivery experience including accreditation and authorization processes, multiple classification enclaves, and operation in disconnected or bandwidth-constrained environments
- Co-development experience with a defense prime, systems integrator, or defense technology company on jointly delivered capabilities
- Developer experience work including documentation as a product, SDKs, developer portals, and onboarding automation
- Domain fluency in command and control, geospatial systems, data fabrics, tactical networking, or sensor-to-effector integration
- Architecture judgment in API- and service-based systems: demonstrated ability to design and critique REST or gRPC integrations, authentication flows (OIDC, service credentials, secretless), schemas, data contracts, and event streams; fluent reading of specifications and source code
