VAST Data is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join its infrastructure team in New York. VAST Data is a data platform company for the AI era, building enterprise software infrastructure to capture, catalog, refine, enrich, and protect massive datasets for real-time analysis and AI training/inference. In this role, you will serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert across the organization. Key responsibilities include:
- Assist customers with evaluations, benchmarks, system configurations, and installations
- Work closely with R&D Engineering to define product requirements and usability, including creation of product specification documents
- Participate in sales strategy and tactics, taking ownership of technical responsibilities within customer accounts
- Demonstrate technical leadership and subject matter expertise on storage products, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and competitive storage offerings in DAS, NAS, and SAN product spaces
- Create architecture "blueprints" for repeatable solutions that the Sales team will deliver to customers
- Help develop a dispersed group of system and field engineers
- Consult on forming, building, and managing a Support organization
