VAST Data is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join its infrastructure team supporting enterprise AI and data management. The company builds a data platform designed to capture, catalog, refine, enrich, and protect massive datasets for real-time analysis and AI training/inference, operating across data center, edge, and cloud environments.
In this role, you will be a key technical contributor working directly with major customer accounts. Your responsibilities include:
- Assist customers with system evaluations, benchmarks, configurations, and installations
- Work closely with VAST's R&D Engineering team to define product requirements, usability improvements, and create product specification documents
- Participate in sales strategy and tactics, owning technical responsibilities within customer accounts
- Demonstrate technical leadership and deep subject matter expertise on storage products, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and competitive offerings in DAS, NAS, and SAN product spaces
- Create architecture "blueprints" for repeatable solutions that the Sales team will deliver to customers
- Help develop and mentor a dispersed group of system and field engineers
- Consult on forming, building, and managing a Support organization
